Reviews
We stopped by the ivy house on a whim as we were looking for a bar and happened to pass it by. They have a dress code that disallows hat, shorts and such but they didn’t actually enforce it as we were dressed pretty casual. It could be that we came pretty early around 8 and only a few customers present. It was happy hour until 9 so we took advantage of it and ordered two espresso martinis. They were delicious. The decor of the place was ivy/floral themed and presented many photo opportunities. It has plenty of seats inside the bar as well as a spacious outdoor space. This place can be a fun New Year’s Eve celebration destination or something like that
Valet was $10
Vibe- This is a fairly new spot on Washington Avenue. It’s so cute inside, there’s ivy all around and other flowers too for decor. There’s a huge area to sit outside and plenty of seating inside too. If you go for happy hour, you can park for free in the lot. Valet parking starts at 7pm!
Customer service- The bartender I had was great, he was so kind!
Food/drinks- I had the La Jamaica and it was a good cocktail. I just wish they had more food (veggie options for sure) items on their menu.
Parking- Great during happy hour. I’m sure you can park on the street once the lot fills up or of course valet.
Very well decorated place with tons of photo ops. Valet was $10. Drinks were great and strong but a bit pricey as expected. Everyone was friendly. Not a huge fan of the house music they had but that's a personal preference. They didnt have a ton of seating inside as most was reserved. They do, however, have a huge outside area with plenty of seating. Overall a nice place. Will be coming back 😀
My best friend and I drove in from Austin looking for a nice atmosphere to hangout at and ran accross the Ivy House. My first impression, the place was beautifully decorated. There are a ton of opportunities to take photos. The place was large and clean. I was hungry and wanted lamb chops so I was excited to see it on the menu. Now I'm from Chicago so when I see items like that on the menu, I think upscale. Major disappointment. The food was extremely sub-par. Drinks... We had a waitress who was probably new and did not know the difference between on the rocks and knead so she messed up the drink order. Last but not least, if your looking for a place to mix and mingle, do not go here. If your looking for a place to "stunt" then this place is perfect for you. I absolutely despise places that make all of their tables and seats bottle service only. Drake was not in the building. Overall I gave this place a 3 for its decor and vibe, and because it's fairly new. Management just needs to work on its diversity, interaction of people and training the waitstaff. I would like to see the transformation next year.
I was pleasantly surprised what they have done with the old Hughes Hangar!!! This indoor and outdoor oasis is a must see! Friday night i was able to ring in my Birthday and was super happy! Bottle service was amazing and my favorite bartender Levon was superb. Cocktails were handcrafted with a smile as always!!! We started with a few shots and levon suggested pairing them with Orange slices, let me just say I was in Tequila Heaven!!! Can’t wait to now have another occasion to shake a tail feather.
This place is really nice. The aesthetics are nice and pretty, our bartender was pretty good. The area is kinda random for such a nice place. Valet will try to scam you into not letting you park on the public street. I had to tell the valet to either write me a ticket or get lost, which one do you think he did? Hookah guys are understaffed so you have to go beg them for more coals a couple times if you need them. Overall the place is cool, I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to come here again though.
First let’s start with the ambience in the Ivy House is amazing. They have private booths for your upscale customers and tables for walk ins. The drinks were on point and they offer a variety to please all guests. The hookah was fabulous with a very ornate chamber. One downside is parking. Just be prepared to valet and you’ll be just fine.
a new bar tucked in by the cemetery!
i love:
- their aesthetic plant chandeliers
- the cute photo spots (for insta)
- the layout (booth, tables, bar tops, & outdoor patio)
- that it's for everyone and for all celebrations
they have a $5 valet parking which isn't bad at all but they need to speed up the process. they were highly short staffed on a saturday night, took forever to get drinks. a good tip: go to the side bar rather than the main bar. the drinks are stronger too lol.
def will be coming back, it's a chill spot to hang. my fav was that you are able to go from the spacious patio section to the live club section at any time :) they should prob start checking IDs though, gotta control the crowd! music is good.
